Abstract
Cancer can cause a condition known as fatigue or cancer-related fatigue (CRF) in patients. Fatigue is a feeling of tiredness that exceeds normal tiredness and does not improve with adequate rest and nutrition. Fatigue affects the ability, physical capacity, and quality of life of cancer patients, often making them dependent on others for daily needs such as household activities, transportation, and even personal care such as eating and bathing. To address fatigue, appropriate and suitable nursing interventions are required. This research method is a literature review study. The literature sources were obtained from databases including Google Scholar and PubMed. The study shows that fatigue in cancer patients is a persistent feeling of exhaustion that occurs along with cancer therapy. Self-management of fatigue can be carried out through physical (body) management, mental management, and breathing relaxation to reduce fatigue in cancer patients. The conclusion is fatigue experienced by cancer survivors can be managed with good self-management of fatigue among chemotherapy patients in hospitals through the implementation of appropriate physical activity, meditation, and breathing relaxation.
