Abstract
One of the symptoms experienced by individuals with schizophrenia is withdrawal from their surrounding environment, commonly referred to as social isolation. Social isolation is a condition in which a person has difficulty establishing or maintaining relationships or interactions with others. One method to address social isolation in patients is through activity therapy. The quartet game is one form of therapy aimed at motivating patients and improving their interaction skills. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of Evidence-Based Practice using quartet game therapy for patients experiencing social isolation. The method used was an experimental (treatment) approach applied to patients with social isolation. This intervention was conducted over five days in the Sebayang Ward of Tampan Mental Hospital, Riau Province. The study involved two respondents diagnosed with social isolation. Assessment was carried out using an observation sheet to measure signs and symptoms, along with the Indonesian Nursing Outcome Standards (SLKI), through pre-test and post-test evaluations. The research results show a decrease in the signs and symptoms of social isolation and an improvement in the outcome of SLKI. This indicates that quartet game therapy is effective in reducing symptoms and enhancing social involvement in patients with social isolation. It is suggested that this therapy be applied with greater frequency and duration to obtain more accurate results and further reduce the symptoms experienced by patients.
