ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA ANAK DENGAN MASALAH HIPETERMIA DENGAN PENERAPAN KOMPRES DAUN BUNGA KEMBANG SEPATU (HIBISKUS ROSA SINENSIS)

Abstract
Fever causes various symptoms such as Hyperthermia. Hyperthermia can cause an increase in body temperature that is too hot and dangerous. One action that can overcome hypothermia is the administration of hibiscus leaf compress. The purpose of this study is to overcome and reduce body temperature in children with fever. The sample of this study was a child who had a fever with a body temperature above 37.5oC totaling 1 person. The study was conducted on May 29 - May 30, 2025. The results of the study showed that after the hibiscus leaf compress, hypothermia was overcome, marked by an increase in body temperature in children. Suggestions regarding interventions to the research site to apply hibiscus leaf compresses to children with fever. Evaluation was carried out through a body temperature observation sheet using the Pre Post test method. The results showed a significant decrease in body temperature after the intervention, with an average decrease of 1.8°C to 3.2°C. Hibiscus leaf compresses (Hibiscus Rosa Sinensis) have been proven effective in reducing the body temperature of children with fever and can be an independent nursing intervention that is applicable in clinical practice.
