Abstract

This study aims to examine teachers' efforts in increasing learning interest, shaping students' character, and adjusting teaching methods to technological developments at SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Teachers play a strategic role in creating relevant and meaningful learning, especially in the digital era that demands creativity and the use of technology. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through direct discussions with teachers. The results of the study indicate that increasing learning interest is done by linking learning materials to everyday life and utilizing digital devices such as cellphones to explore materials independently. The formation of student character is done through a personal approach, such as the use of greetings that show appreciation for students. Meanwhile, adjustments to teaching methods are made through the integration of digital technology and contextual learning methods. In conclusion, adaptive and innovative teacher efforts contribute significantly to improving the quality of learning and the formation of student character in accordance with the demands of the times.
