Abstract
This article discusses the thoughts of three major figures in contemporary Islamic economics Muhammad Baqir Al-Sadr, Ibrahim Umar Vadillo, and M. Umer Chapra. All three have made significant contributions in formulating an economic approach rooted in Islamic principles such as justice, falah, and the elimination of usury. This study uses library research to examine in depth the theories and approaches offered by each figure. This article aims to show how their thoughts remain relevant in answering the challenges of modern economics, while identifying differences and common ground from their respective perspectives. The results of the study show that all three figures emphasize the importance of ethics, fair distribution of wealth, and the role of the state in sustainable economic development in accordance with sharia.
