Abstract
The World Cup held in Qatar has a uniqueness that is different from the World Cup held in previous countries. This is because the implementation of the World Cup in Qatar is very different from the previous host and the rules imposed on each individual who wants to enter the State of Qatar where the World Cup is held for all groups without discrimination. Both from players, spectators and participants who want to enter the country. The purpose of this study is to determine the messages of da'wah contained in the 2022 Qatar World Cup. This study uses a qualitative research type through a descriptive approach. In this study, a qualitative research type is used through a descriptive approach. This study uses two types of data collection techniques, namely documentation and literature studies. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the messages of da'wah contained in the 2022 Qatar World Cup are as follows: Recitation of Surah Al-Hujurat verse 13, the sentence bismillahirrahmanirrahim during the inauguration speech of the World Cup, Friday prayers in the Ahmed Bin Ali and Al Thumama stadium areas, introducing Islam through QR CODE located in hotels, as well as hadith murals installed at several strategic points in Doha. And the religious rules enforced by Qatar for both players, spectators and participants such as: dressing modestly, limiting alcoholic beverages, prohibiting free sex, prohibiting sexy clothing, using narcotics, prohibiting the LGBT flag.
