Abstract
Social and technological transformation in the digital era has changed the characteristics of learners, especially Generation Z and Alpha, who are known as digital natives with visual learning styles, short attention spans, and strong influences from social media. These changes demand an update in the methods of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) to remain relevant and effective. The role of the teacher as a creative facilitator and collaboration with schools and parents is key to the success of shaping a generation that is faithful, intelligent, and morally upright. Social and technological transformation not only alters how Generations Z and Alpha access information but also affects their mindset, values, and how they interpret religion. Therefore, PAI methods must address these challenges by balancing affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects in learning. Education that focuses solely on memorizing religious texts without reinforcing meaning and practical relevance will be difficult to accept by a digital generation that is critical and accustomed to quick, visual content. Innovations such as interactive media, creative learning videos, and digital da’wah projects can serve as effective tools to instill Islamic values in a way that is closer to their world. Moreover, PAI teachers are required to transform from mere transmitters of knowledge to facilitators who can manage collaborative and adaptive digital classrooms. Collaboration between teachers, parents, and educational institutions is essential in creating a learning environment that supports the holistic development of Islamic character.
