Abstract

Prayer is a key pillar of Islamic teachings, serving not only as a means of spiritual worship but also as a form of physical activity with numerous benefits for physical and mental health. Various studies have shown that prayer movements, such as takbir, bowing, i'tidal, prostration, sitting between two prostrations, and greeting, have a positive correlation with organ function, blood circulation, muscle flexibility, and psychological calm. This study aims to delve deeper into the health implications of each prayer movement through a scientific literature approach. Each movement is analyzed based on its impact on the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, and central nervous systems. With this holistic approach, it can be concluded that prayer not only fulfills a spiritual dimension but is also an effective means of achieving overall physical and mental balance.
