Abstract

Qualitative methods are a research approach that aims to understand social and cultural phenomena comprehensively based on the perspective of the research subjects. This approach focuses on meaning, processes, and individual or group experiences within real-world contexts. This article discusses the implementation of qualitative methods across various research fields and their key characteristics, such as flexibility, descriptive nature, inductive data analysis, and active researcher involvement in the data collection process. Through this approach, researchers can explore complex social realities that cannot be explained quantitatively. This article also highlights the importance of understanding context and subjectivity in designing and conducting qualitative research effectively.
