IMPLEMENTASI BOOTSTRAP DALAM MEMBANGUN WEBSITE FORUM DISKUSI UNTUK MAHASISWA UNIVERSTIAS SAM RATULANGI

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has driven digital transformation in education, including academic communication among students. This study aims to develop a discussion forum website for students of Sam Ratulangi University (Unsrat) by implementing Bootstrap as the primary framework for front-end development. The website is designed to facilitate online academic discussions, featuring key pages such as the homepage, user profile, ask a question, question list, related questions, login, and registration pages. The research method includes needs analysis, literature review, implementation, testing, and UI revision. The test results show that Bootstrap provides advantages in terms of responsiveness, flexible layout, and ease of development. The website performs well across different devices and maintains a consistent appearance. However, some challenges remain, such as the limited functionality of the related questions search feature, which requires further development. The study concludes that Bootstrap is an effective choice for front-end development in discussion forum websites, as it enhances design efficiency, layout consistency, and user experience. Future improvements may focus on enhancing interactive features and integrating additional frameworks to optimize user engagement.
