REVIEW JURNAL PERAN TENAGA KEFARMASIAN DALAM PROSEDUR RECALL PRODUK: KAJIAN LITERATUR TERHADAP FUNGSI, TANGGUNG JAWAB, DAN EFEKTIVITAS PELAKSANAAN

Abstract

Drug recall is a crucial step in ensuring patient safety and pharmaceutical product quality. This study aims to analyze the roles and responsibilities of pharmaceutical personnel, particularly pharmacists, in the implementation of drug recall, as well as to identify challenges and key success factors in the field. The findings indicate that pharmacists play a central role in documentation, product retrieval, inter-party communication, and reporting to relevant authorities. The success of a recall largely depends on the timeliness of product withdrawal, the volume of products retrieved, and the completeness of reporting. However, implementation still faces various obstacles, such as limited human resources, administrative complexities, and geographical barriers. To enhance recall effectiveness, adaptive systems, continuous training, and stronger cross-sector coordination are needed. This study highlights the strategic role of pharmaceutical personnel as the front line in ensuring the safe use of medicines in the community.
