PENGARUH DISIPLIN KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA GURU PEGAWAI NEGERI SIPIL YANG DIMEDIASI MOTIVASI KERJA

Abstract
Teachers are a part of the non-financial resources available in schools, making their performance crucial in achieving educational goals within the school environment. Teacher performance can be influenced by various factors, including motivation and work discipline. This study employed a quantitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach. The sample consisted of 53 civil servant teachers who are members of the Teuku Umar Teacher Working Group, selected through total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25.
The results showed that teachers' work discipline was classified as high, as were their work motivation and overall performance. Work discipline had a positive effect on teacher performance, with a significance value (p-value) of 0.000. Additionally, work motivation also had a significant impact on teacher performance (p-value = 0.002). Furthermore, work discipline influenced teacher performance through the mediating role of motivation, with a total effect value of 0.643.
