Abstract
This study examines the alleged abuse and exploitation of former circus workers at Taman Safari Indonesia (Oriental Circus Indonesia). Using a qualitative approach and content analysis techniques, data were collected from various media sources, including in-depth interviews with key victims. The findings reveal various forms of physical and psychological violence experienced by the workers, such as electrocution, confinement, and other inhumane treatments. The study also discusses the responses from government and related institutions, as well as the victims' demands for protection, cessation of abuse, human rights trials, and compensation. This research underscores the importance of law enforcement and human rights protection in the entertainment industry and provides policy recommendations to prevent similar cases in the future.
