PENERAPAN METODE ROLE PLAYING PADA PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH KEBUDAYAAN ISLAM (SKI) KELAS X-K: STUDI KASUS DI MADRASAH ALIYAH NEGERI 1 TUBAN

Abstract
Learning Islamic Cultural History is often considered less interesting by students because the teaching method is still conventional. To overcome this, the role playing method is applied in SKI learning in class X-K of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Tuban. This study aims to analyze the application of the role playing method in the ISH subject at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Tuban. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the role playing method has a positive impact on students' understanding of SKI material. Students become more active in the learning process and are able to understand historical concepts more deeply and contextually. However, there are several obstacles in its implementation, such as limited learning time and students' readiness to play their roles. Overall, the role playing method has proven effective in overcoming the quality of SKI learning. Therefore, it is recommended for educators to consider this method as an alternative learning strategy to create a more interactive and meaningful learning experience for students.
