Abstract
Health is one of the greatest blessings granted by Allah SWT and serves as a vital asset for carrying out daily activities, including acts of worship. In Islam, maintaining good health is not merely a physical necessity but also a spiritual responsibility. The human body is regarded as a trust (amanah) from Allah that must be protected and cared for. Activities such as eating balanced meals, exercising, getting enough rest, and avoiding harmful habits can be considered acts of worship if done with sincere intention for the sake of Allah. Both the Qur’an and Hadith contain numerous teachings that emphasize the importance of health—ranging from prohibitions against self-harm to commands about cleanliness and moderation. A healthy Muslim is more capable of performing religious duties, whether physical worship such as prayer and fasting, or social obligations like working and helping others. Therefore, understanding health from an Islamic perspective is essential in raising awareness that living a healthy lifestyle is not merely a trend, but a form of worship and gratitude for Allah’s blessings.
