IMPLEMENTASI TEKNOLOGI RESPONSIVE WEB DESIGN DALAM PERANCANGAN WEBSITE MODERN

Abstract

In this rapidly evolving digital age, the demand for responsive websites is on the rise. One of the main approaches in modern website development is Responsive Web Design (RWD), which allows the appearance and functionality of a website to be adapted to various electronic devices, such as computers, tablets, and smartphones. RWD technology, using methods such as fluid grids, flexible images, and media queries, enables an optimal user experience without the need to create separate versions for each device. The objective of this study is to evaluate the use of RWD technology in contemporary web design, considering its advantages, disadvantages, and effects on user experience. This research employs literature review, designing and implementing web layouts using a manual approach with CSS Media Queries and the Bootstrap framework, and testing performance across various devices. A comparative analysis method was used to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of RWD implementation. The results of the study indicate that RWD can improve accessibility, user engagement, and content management efficiency. However, there are some issues that need to be considered, such as longer development times and incompatibility with older browsers. Therefore, the use of RWD is an important strategy in modern website development to meet the increasingly diverse needs of users.
