Abstract
Anxiety is the most common feeling experienced by children when seeking treatment at a health care facility, especially in preschool children. Anxiety that is often experienced such as crying, and fear of new people. One effort that can be made to reduce anxiety in children who are treated at the Regional Public Hospital is by playing snakes and ladders. This study aims to provide nursing care for children with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) with the application of Snakes and Ladders Play Therapy to overcome anxiety. The place of implementation was in the Orchid Room of the Arifin Achmad Regional Public Hospital, Riau Province. The implementation method used was a case study with the subjects in this application being 2 children with ALL who experienced anxiety which was carried out on January 30-February 1, 2025. This study was carried out 1 time for 3 consecutive days in approximately 15-20 minutes for each intervention. The evaluation assessed after the intervention was carried out was the child's anxiety score which was measured using the SCAS questionnaire. Evaluation of An.A showed a decrease in anxiety from 32 to 31 on the first day, 32 to 31 on the second day, and 31 to 27 on the third day. While An.S from 33 to 32 on the first day, 32 to 31 on the second day, and on the third day from 31 to 26. Based on the results, it was concluded that providing snake and ladder play therapy can reduce the level of anxiety in children who are treated in the hospital.
