PERUBAHAN IKLIM SEBAGAI ANCAMAN KEAMANAN GLOBAL: KAJIAN STRATEGIS DARI PERSPEKTIF NEGARA BERKEMBANG

Abstract

Climate change has shifted from an environmental issue to a real threat to global security, especially for developing countries that have structural vulnerabilities and limited adaptive capacity. This study aims to examine the relationship between climate change and global security from the perspective of developing countries, using a qualitative approach and literature review. The findings indicate that the impacts of climate change—such as droughts, floods, rising sea levels, and food insecurity—can threaten socio-political stability and increase the risk of conflict. Developing countries face significant challenges in managing this crisis due to resource constraints, weak infrastructure, and imbalances in global responsibility. This study emphasizes the importance of community-based approaches, cross-sector collaboration, and international solidarity to create fair and sustainable climate resilience strategies.
