Abstract
This study aims to analyze team development strategies and leadership factors influencing synergy and team effectiveness within educational institutions, specifically at SMK PPN Gorontalo Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative field-study approach and interviews, the research found that educational leaders at SMK PPN applied transformational and participative leadership styles to build productive and collaborative teams. Strategies employed include competency-based team formation, routine communication forums, and participatory decision-making processes. The team development model based on Tuckman’s five stages (Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing, Adjourning) proved effective in enhancing team cohesion, communication, and productivity. The most influential leadership factors were the leader’s roles as facilitator, motivator, decision-maker, and their cultural intelligence. This study concludes that team development and effective leadership are critical foundations for building adaptive and high-performing educational institutions.
